"Hands-On" Programs

"At Issue" - The first step in learning to live with wildlife is to understand that animals are instinctively driven to satisfy their 4 basics of life; territory, shelter, food & water.  Find out more about ways to discourage wildlife away from our attics and back into the wild ....

Spay/Neuter Initiative Program (SNIP)

The SNIP program was implemented to offer assistance to qualifying applicants. You may qualify for SNIP if you demonstrate that you receive Social Assistance, Ontario Disability, or otherwise have a low income.

Carol's Ferals

We are able to train new people in our community to take a role in helping the feral cats in their area. They can be taught how to operate the traps, feed the cats effectively and put up shelters. We feel that it is important to teach others how to help animals, as the number of animals we can help, depends on the number of people we have willing and able to work on our programs. Thank you to our dedicated volunteers who take the time out of their busy lives to care for these cats. You truly do make a difference.

We also encourage anyone who is interested in helping or learning about feral cats to visit www.alleycat.org. They offer great advice on Trap/Neuter/Return programs and committed aftercare.

Carol's Ferals runs in conjunction with our Spay/Neuter Initiative Program (SNIP) as part of our ongoing efforts to eliminate companion animal overpopulation in the wider community.
